Illustrator Dale WatsonDale Watson has worked as an architectural illustrator for over twenty years. He's a member of the American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI). His architectural background and skills as an illustrator and artist make him a valuable asset at any stage of the design process. He can work with your team during the early preliminary design phase as a charrette illustrator, producing fast loose sketches to help your clients quickly see and understand your design direction. He can also take your final plans and create a more finished architectural rendering that you can be proud of. Dale lives and works in the beautiful historic Charleston, South Carolina area.

How I work

I work from scaled plans, computer models, photos or sometimes just an idea. First we discuss what your needs for the rendering are, things like style, budget, schedule and usage. I'll send you a proposal to sign and then get to work. After I receive the information needed, I create a computer or pencil rough for approval before starting the final illustration. I can work in many different media from watercolor renderings to pen and ink to markers, color pencil, gouache or acrylic. Also changes can be made on the computer if needed. When the rendering is complete, I send you a high-resolution digital file and/or a high quality print to your specifications.
